How to Get Wealth Supernaturally

Apostle Don Meares

“But you shall remember [with profound respect] the Lord your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore (solemnly promised) to your fathers, as it is this day.” –Deuteronomy 8:18 (AMP)

If you want to get wealth supernaturally, you can try God’s way. With man’s way, acquiring wealth is a long shot, but if you follow God’s way, you’re guaranteed to succeed.

Compared to a promise, a covenant is a vow that cannot be easily broken. Unlike a promise that is liable to change depending on the goodwill of the person, a covenant is a contract with a strong spiritual undertone. It is a contract in which parties involved must accept terms in their totality. A covenant is irrevocable. Those who are under God’s covenant, the new covenant or the Abrahamic covenant that Jesus fulfilled, should understand that wealth is their inheritance. If we claim to be children of God, wealth is our inheritance. Wealth is guaranteed to us, but you have to comply with the terms to enjoy it. A covenant calls only for your compliance, not begging, not prayers, and not fasting. It calls for your obedience.

The reason why we are given the power to get wealth supernaturally is for God to establish His covenant. This covenant is the strongest commandment in the Kingdom of God.

Psalm 89:34 (AMP) says:

“My covenant I will not break,

Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.”

Jeremiah 33:20-21 (AMP) also says:

“Thus says the Lord, ‘If you can break My covenant for the day and My covenant for the night, so that day and night do not take place at their appointed times, 21 then My covenant may also be broken with David My servant so that he will not have a son to reign on his throne, and [My covenant may also be broken] with the Levitical priests, My ministers.”

These verses show us that the covenant power of God is always in force. It is intact, unshakeable, and immovable. Wealth for every covenant believer is not man-made but God-made. However, only those who are willing to submit to the demands of the covenant can enjoy its provision. Prosperity in the Kingdom is the birthright of every born-again believer. God is talking about the strength of the covenant. He is saying that He is committed to the covenant to restore dignity to humanity because when you possess wealth, you certainly can have dignity again. That’s the core of the covenant.

God gives a person the power to get wealth so that He can establish His Kingdom

The first reason why God wants to give His children the power to get wealth is to strengthen the covenant. The more power He can give to those in His family, the deeper His covenant on Heaven and Earth will be. God is waiting on somebody that will meet the requirements and qualifications before He can give them the power. We must be very careful to find out how to fulfill the terms and conditions of the covenant. In our case, we are not in a bilateral covenant but a one-sided covenant that Jesus makes with the Father on our behalf. The covenant demands that while the Earth remains, there will always be seedtime and harvest. These shall never cease, as long as the Earth remains (Genesis 8:22). No person should ever expect to receive a harvest when they have not planted any seed. You cannot receive a financial harvest unless you sow seeds. Abundance will come only by the act of planting seeds. When the seed goes into the Earth, God sends rain that will bring the harvest. This is how the natural way works. If you plant the seed, God will send the rain.

If you’re believing God for rain, then you have to plant the seed you want to reap. If you’re going to plant tomatoes in the natural sense, you’re not going to get wheat. This is true even for spiritual law. When we think of wealth, we think of money, gold, silver, and other objects that represent abundance. If you want to harvest riches, then you have to plant seeds. Many believers lose their harvest because they have no patience to wait for it and confess that it’s coming. Most of us expect an immediate harvest, and it will always be that way. Every farmer knows that there has to be a waiting time between seedtime and harvest. If you believe that God is a covenant-keeping God, you are sure to receive your harvest at the appointed time. As you wait, you have to stand on the Word spiritually for your harvest. It cannot be destroyed, not even by the strongest forces of hell combined. Your part in the covenant is to give up what you have to receive what He wants to give you. This is an issue of trust because we need to believe that God is faithful to us. When you let go of the seed, you open yourself up for the harvest.

God gives a person the power to get wealth so that people can experience His salvation and be added to His Kingdom

The second reason God wants to give someone the power to get wealth is to expand His Kingdom and take sinners out of the Kingdom of darkness and transfer them to His marvelous Kingdom of Light. If you don’t have a passion for souls, if you don’t have a sense of urgency to bring people to Jesus, then God will not give you the power according to His covenant.

If you want to fulfill the terms and conditions of the covenant that will lead to supernatural wealth, you have to become more of a giver than a getter. God says that it is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35). Before we can expect a blessing, we need to be obedient and faithful to what the Lord commands us to do. Job 36:11 (AMP) reminds us:

“If they hear and serve Him,

They will end their days in prosperity

And their years in pleasantness and joy.”

It also says in Isaiah 1:19-20 (AMP):

“If you are willing and obedient,

You shall eat the best of the land;

20 But if you refuse and rebel,

You shall be devoured by the sword.”

For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.

If you are obedient to God and serve Him with excellence, you will spend your days in prosperity, peace, and joy.

When you bring a tithe, God pours out spiritual rain on you. This happens when the Spirit of the Lord pours out on you wisdom, counsel, knowledge, understanding, might, and fear of the Lord and His Word. God’s Spirit will come over you when you tithe correctly and give offerings accordingly. When He pours out His Spirit, you will be qualified to receive from God these gifts that will lead you into profiting financially. When you have God’s wisdom, you will gain the strength and power that will lead you to get wealth. Your faithfulness will qualify you for supernatural instruction and creativity from God. One God-breathed idea can change your life. Your life and the lives of countless others will change when He moves in you and through you. Expect these things if you are a faithful tither, giver, and follower.
