Talking the Language of Heaven

Apostle Don Meares
“Let us seize and hold tightly the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is reliable and trustworthy and faithful [to His word];”

–Hebrews 10:23 (AMP)

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”

–Hebrews 10:23

Do you speak the language of Heaven? Do you speak the language of God? Do you know what it means to speak the language of Heaven?

You cannot confess or be a witness to things you do not know. You must confess what you know about Jesus Christ and who you are in Him. The secret of confession and dominating faith lies in getting a true understanding of what Jesus did for you. Here are three things we must know.

First, the Gospel is the good news of what Jesus did for you. It is the power of God that has been released to you.
Secondly, you must know that you are in Him because of what He did for you.
Thirdly, you have to know what the Word of God promises that you can do as a result of His finished work in you.

These things develop the highest level of faith. You will move into the highest level of faith when you know God’s Word and put it together with your confession and your acts.

You need to come to a place where you know who Jesus is and what He has done for you without a doubt. You know what truly belongs to you. You will see what you can do because of what He did for you, but only when you have a revelation and it becomes a rhema in your spirit can you ever really enjoy the life that God has intended for you to enjoy. That life will make you a conqueror and a victor.

This knowledge requires an inner knowing within your spirit. You can’t know it in your mind. You can’t know it in your soul. It’s beyond that. You have to know in your spirit that Satan is defeated eternally because of Jesus Christ. This is according to the Word of God. This was not a temporary defeat. He was eternally defeated. Your redemption is a blessed fact and a reality.

Satan’s defeat was administered by Jesus, your substitute. His defeat was then credited to your account. The enemy has to recognize that you are his ruler. He is never the master of you. Philippians 2:10-11 says:

“that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

When your heart knows that you are a demon master, your life will completely change. Dominating faith with a new confession becomes very natural to you. You will automatically start talking like Jesus. If you’ve read the Gospels, if you put a spotlight on listening to how Jesus talked, He did not talk like people in the world. He only spoke the language of Heaven. He was odd. People who met Him said that He spoke differently but with authority. Jesus only said what He heard the Father say.

Know Your Identity in Jesus Christ

Most Christians talk like the rest of the world. Many of us do not understand the facts of our redemption. It’s not in our spirit. Faith is as natural as fear was before you were enlightened. You should know that Jesus Himself put Satan and his kingdom beneath your feet. You step on him. He doesn’t step on you. You are the victor. God has already given us the victory.

When you understand who you are, that you have been redeemed, that you have been called a demon master, no power can come against you that can bring you down. You have the victory. You have to be the winner. You have to be the conqueror. We need to have a living, breathing rhema to understand these things.

You should talk like somebody from another Kingdom because you know that you are a chosen generation. You should know that you are a royal priesthood. You should know that you have been given all authority and power by Jesus Christ Himself. Therefore, you should be bold according to God’s Word.

Another kind of victory that we do not have is how important our speech and words are. You can be ensnared by your words, you can die by your words, or you can have life everlasting by your words. Your words can set worlds on fire. Your words are so powerful, but we don’t understand that we must speak Heaven’s language not just when we come together in church but all the time. Those who are not yet born again will see the victory and power that follows your life. How would the Church be if we actually understood God called us to speak His language? He so much desires that you have an insight, a revelation, a word that you are a child of the Most High God. He is your Father. You are a citizen of Heaven. Authority has been placed in your hands if you would only use it.

Christians must confess and declare who they are in Christ and what His Word declares about them. Second Corinthians 5:17 says:

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

You’re not like who you used to be. You are a new creature. This is more than just being forgiven. The old marks of sin, sickness, disease, failure, weakness, and fear have passed away. Now you have God’s nature, His life, His strength, His glory, His power, and His resurrection life in you. The power of God is in you.

What comes out of your mouth will tell how you see yourself. Are you a creature of the world or Heaven? The heart of Father God yearns for us to talk this way with ourselves and everybody we interact with. You must speak the language of your citizenship, which is not of this world but of Heaven. Learn to talk like those who are in Heaven. What makes the difference? All of a sudden, you know your position. You know your authority.

When the Scripture says, “By His stripes you were healed (Isaiah 53:5),” you need to believe that this word is applicable to you now. This is an absolute truth. There are no ifs, buts, and maybes. This Word is at work in you now. Jesus has allowed you to use His Name.

First John 4:4 says,“ You are of God, little children, and have overcome them because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” God is in you. Make this confession. Declare this powerful statement.

God is in you. God is in you, at this moment. He is the Master of Creation. And if He created the world, there are creative powers when you speak the will of God. The same power applies when you speak the Word of God. We can provide hope for the lost. Until you get a revelation of what He’s done for you, who you are, and what you can do, you will never live an abundant life. But when you do, you now face life fearlessly. Greater is He that is in you than all the forces that can ever be arrayed or come against you. You can face your enemy whom you have absolutely no ability to conquer in the natural, but you face them fiercely because you can shout with the voice of triumph (Psalm 47:1).

When you come against your enemies, God Himself will personally prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies (Psalm 23:5). When the enemy tries to come against you, he poses no threat or problem to you. God gives you peace and the victory to enjoy your meal. God is on your side. He fights your battles. You can stand still and see His salvation. Watch God move and destroy your enemies.

Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” You can do all things, not some things, not a little thing. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. He is not just your strength. He stands beside you.

God is on your side. Have joy! There is nothing you cannot defeat in His Name. Stop talking about your problems, circumstances, adversaries, and troubles. Speak the language of Heaven. Speak it upon your spouse, children, church, co-workers, and everyone you meet. Speak it upon your circumstance and location. Confess who you are in Christ. Do it every time, not just when you feel like it. Don’t be silent about it.

What Are You Confessing?

You are the redeemed. You have redemption. It’s not a hope. It’s an actual fact. You have been delivered out of the dominion and authority of the enemy. Confess this truth. God did not fix your spirit. He created a new spirit in you. You are not the same as before you were born again.

Your confession determines your victory or defeat. If you confess the words of Heaven, you will always win. But if you talk the talk of the world and focus on your problems, circumstances, or situations, then the enemy will manifest them and make them bigger.

But if you shift your focus and speak the language of Heaven, the Truth that you know, you will have victory. Let’s look at Hebrews 3:1-2:

“Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus, 2 who was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was faithful in all His house.”

We are to confess His healing, provision, and victory in sickness, lack, and trials. God has already provided everything in your life. When you keep praying for things you already have, it shows you do not know who you are in Christ. All things that pertain to life and godliness have been provided for you if you talk with the right kind of words. Jesus will bring those words to the Father. It’s not a matter of “I hope Jesus hears me!” If it is the right kind of word, the words that come from God, Jesus will take it to the Father. Jesus will not bring God the world’s words. God will manifest in your spirit what you are to do. You must hold on tightly to the confession, for He who promised is faithful.

Confessing in your prayers is important. But more importantly, confessing it in your conversations, testimony, thoughts, and actions to those around you will show that you speak the language of Heaven. You are called to speak the language of Heaven. It’s in the Bible. Don’t treat it as a common book. God dwells in this book of Eternal Life. This is the book of resurrection. This is the book of power.

If you are going to defeat the enemy, you need to speak Heaven’s language. Nothing is impossible with our God. He is supernatural. He has called you to come and sit in heavenly places. He has invited you to move with Him in the supernatural realm. If you believe that nothing is impossible, you can move out and step into the supernatural to see the power of God manifested in your life. You have been given the power to use His Name that is above any other name.
