Minister Jennifer was born in Washington, DC and raised in Maryland. As a first generation American born to immigrants (her Muslim father was from Trinidad and her Catholic mother from Mexico), she was instilled with a deep appreciation for this country and the many opportunities it affords, including religious freedom. The National Anthem still makes her cry when she hears it! While her parents worked to build their successful manufacturing business, she was primarily raised by her babysitter. In her care, she was filled with an abiding love for God and His Word… as well as a fondness for cats and reading!
 
She came to Evangel in December of 2010, got radically saved in January 2011 and hasn’t looked back since. In March 2020 she finally answered the call of God when she quit her corporate job of 15+ years at a billion dollar company to come and serve in the House of the Lord. She currently leads a team of deeply committed individuals, both Staff and Volunteer, to execute the daily tasks necessary to keep our beautiful and expansive campus running. Jennifer is helped daily by her husband, Karif King, who serves alongside her as a full time volunteer. They have been together for over 25 years and have two cats, Heidi-Tuna and Rufus.
