Your Faith Will Make You Whole

“Faith changes hope into reality.” –Kenneth E. Hagin

Kenneth E. Hagin was a preacher known for pioneering the Word of Faith movement. His teachings and books are filled with vivid stories that show God’s power and truth working in his life. Many of his books are about healing, love, miracles, faith, and more.

One of Kenneth’s testimonies is about his encounter speaking to Jesus for the eighth and last time. During the conversation, Jesus gave him four simplistic things which were directions for a believer so that His miraculous power will be released within their life.

Throughout the Bible, we see and read stories on how Jesus healed the sick, opened the eyes of the blind, and had the lame walk.

But there are stories that tell us some of these characters and believers went above and beyond what society dictated during their time.

Every single one of them received their miracles in different ways but from the same God.

The Four Simplistic Things

Among these stories is the encounter of a woman who suffered with the issue of blood for twelve long years. And the moment she heard that Jesus was going to pass by where she lived, she unfortunately was facing three different problems that hindered her from having that encounter with Jesus.

Because of her situation, her first problem was that she was weakened physically. The second was she was broke since she paid many physicians to heal her. And the third problem was she was socially hindered because she was considered unclean in the day she lived in.

But she pressed on!

Say It

“For she said, ‘If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.’” Mark 5:28

The woman declared this with her mouth. With all of her heart, she believed that a miracle would happen to her and her situation.

Do It

“When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.” Mark 5:27

When Jesus came by, there were people tronging around Him making the encounter all the more difficult for the woman. But she made it happen. Her act of faith gave her the healing that she desired and needed.

Receive It

“And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.” –Mark 5:29

The virtue of Jesus flowed from Him to her. After suffering for twelve years, she was completely made whole from that moment.

Now what happened? Jesus asked His disciples who touched Him. But with the crowd pushing and jostling, they explained that everybody was touching Him.

So hear this. When Jesus’ virtue and power leaves Him, He prays for somebody, He casts out a devil, and He speaks to the situation! But this was the first time that the virtue and power of Jesus left Him without Him doing anything about it.

Tell It

“But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.” –Mark 5:33

What this woman had done is that she fell to Jesus’ feet and told Him everything that has happened to her.

And from that moment on, the woman’s life was never the same. Her miracle happened even before she touched Jesus’ garments. Because she believed, she acted, she received, now her story became a testimony – and that’s the most powerful aspect of it all.

Faith is what God is looking at. He says in His Word that He is not a respecter of persons. And with what He has done for these characters and stories in the Bible, know and believe that He will do the same for you.

When we are no longer physically in this world, what is it that you leave behind? It is your testimony. Make it count.
